A rebel since birth, she's big on courtesy but just doesn't respond well to authority (as in government, not as in tops - those she responds to just fine). A avid explorer of boundaries, human behavior and the ever evolving self, Sossity has been known to ask "why?" even more often than "when?".

Having long written poetry considered too sexual for most venues, as well as short stories even she (momentarily) hesitates to read in front of a crowd, starting an X rated mic seemed the perfect fit. Doing it as an mc, though she was a total virgin at that activity, couldn't be resisted. (OK, you're right, it was part of the appeal.)

Her first ever chapbook, stir the juice, is currently being compiled, and her first CD, "Hand To Mouth", is available at In Other Words.

talking about making art.Smitty Amabilis is the main organizer geek of the Collective of Geniuses (CoG) where Smitty also performs (mostly acrobatics) and creates arts and crafts. Smitty likes to integrate various art forms and has been a featured poet, a printmaker, a painter, a writer, a performer, a sculpture, a installation artist and loves to create activities. Smitty has been featured on Destination DIY and on Think Out Loud calling about being transgendered and hormone therapy. Smitty identifies as a two-spirited transman who believes strongly in feminism and positive body images.

When z/he was asked to run the sound and record the podcast for Dirty Queer z/he thought it was up the right alley. Smitty is also currently making a quarterly documentary on Queer arts and artists in Portland and the Northwest including some filming of Dirty Queer.
