A rebel since birth, she's big on courtesy but just doesn't respond well to authority (as in government, not as in tops). A avid explorer of boundaries, human behavior and the ever evolving self, Sossity has been known to ask "why?" even more often than "when?".

Having long written poetry considered too sexual for most venues, as well as short stories even she (momentarily) hesitates to read in front of a crowd, starting an X rated mic seemed the perfect fit. Doing it as an mc, though she was a total virgin at that activity, couldn't be resisted. (OK, you're right, it was part of the appeal.)

Her first ever chapbook, stir the juice, will be available soon.

dboi, go-to boi
photo: self-portrait

photo of dboi She gained local recognition as a poet spilling out epitaphs in iambic pentameter at age 9 and was the youngest finalist in a National Society of Arts and Letters poetry competition at age 17. Other than writing poetry, dboi spent most her time doing roller disco and planning her escape from Northern Idaho.

(Fast forward through several incarnations including reversed-mullet rocker and hippie chick earth goddess and intensive therapy) In 1995, 9 years after his liberation from the potato state, she found god in the form of a big ol' dyke with a riding crop and a penchant for accessorizing!

(Fast forward again through more therapy and the disovery of form-fitting boy panties) Still kinky, with a side order of humor, dboi now lives happily as a genderblendingpolypoetfatactivistleatherdykeboi with his 'jelf', two kittens and a pooch. You can send her e-mail at dboi@dirtyqueer.com

Specializing in queer events, performers and big girls, Kina has been the event photographer for the Tucson Sex Workers Arts Festival, Curve's 15th Anniversary party in Portland, and more recently, the Femme 2006 conference held in San Francisco in August of 2006.

She got her start in photography with the help of Heather MacAllister, aka "Reva Lucian," founder of Big Burlesque. "I was working for a professional photographer at the time but I hadn't really done much on my own. But after a 4 hour session and hundreds of amazing photos, I just knew I was meant to document queer art and culture."

When not working dayjobs to finance hir creative habits, Nik stays amused by stage managing, producing events, and cranking out fine art photography.

Other favorite pasttimes include nerding out, and assorted prurient activities.
